The advanced formulation of ActiCHO Media System is specially designed to provide both high performance and high protein yield, and significantly shortens the time it normally takes to find a suitable production process. After a brief adaptation phase, an appropriate feeding strategy can rapidly be identified, allowing an early transfer from shaker flask to large-scale protein production (e.g. bioreactor).

ActiCHO media system consists of the two basal media ActiCHO SM and ActiCHO P, which can be used for adaptation and the following production step of recombinant CHO-DG44 cells. Two matched feeding supplements ActiCHO Feed-A and ActiCHO Feed-B optimize the production yield.

The media and supplements of the ActiCHO Media System contain nutrients that recombinant CHO-DG44 cells need for good cell growth and a higher yield of recombinant proteins with high potency. They do not contain any hydrolysates or animal components in compliance with regulatory authorities due to virus safety.
